[New Leadpages] Creating Pages with the AI Builder

Last Updated

Overview

The AI builder lets you create complete landing pages by describing what you want in plain language. No design or coding skills needed — just tell the AI what kind of page you're building and it handles the rest.

Choosing What to Create

Before generating, you can choose where your AI-built page will live using the destination selector in the prompt bar:

  • Landing page — A single, focused page not attached to any site. This is the default.

  • New website — The AI creates your site's homepage and sets it up as the first page of a brand-new site. You can add more pages to the site after generation.

  • Add to an existing site — Choose one of your current sites from the list and the AI generates a new page inside it, inheriting the site's existing header and navigation.

Click the destination chip (labeled Landing page by default) in the prompt bar area to open the selector and make your choice before you generate.

How to Use the AI Builder

  1. From the Dashboard, click New Page. You'll see a prompt bar where you can describe your page. If you want to create a website or add a page to an existing site instead of a standalone landing page, click the destination chip above the prompt bar to change your target before submitting.

  2. You'll see a prompt bar where you can describe your page. For example:

    • "A landing page for a yoga studio with a hero section, testimonials, and pricing"

    • "A lead generation page for a SaaS product with a signup form"

    • "A webinar registration page with countdown timer and speaker bios"

  3. You can also use quick action chips for common page types: High-converting landing page, Portfolio site, Mobile-first ad page, Webinar page, Product sales page, or Lead gen squeeze page.

Starting from a Template

Prefer to start with a pre-built design instead of generating from a prompt? Select Browse templates below the prompt bar, or click the Templates button in the prompt bar toolbar. This opens the Template Picker, where you can browse available templates by category. Selecting a template clones it into your account and opens it in the editor — no AI generation step is required.

  1. Click Generate or press Enter on your keyboard. The AI creates a full page with layout, copy, images, and styling.

  2. Your page opens in the editor where you can refine it further.

Editing with AI Chat

Once your page is created, you can continue using AI to make changes:

  • Select an element on the page, then ask the AI to modify just that element (e.g., "Make this headline bigger and change the color to blue").

  • Request revisions without selecting anything (e.g., "Add a testimonials section below the hero").

  • Reapply your brand — If you have a Brand Kit active, ask the AI to scan the page and update all colors and fonts to match your brand.

Using a Brand Kit with AI

When you have a Brand Kit selected before generating a page, the AI automatically applies your brand colors, fonts, and logo. You can change or reapply your brand kit at any time from the editor toolbar.

Using Connected Integrations for Better Results

If you have integrations connected to your Leadpages account (such as an email service provider or CRM), you can attach them when building a page. Our AI uses the details from your connected integration — like your product or service information — to write more relevant copy and choose colors that better align with your brand. Attach an integration from the toolbar in the prompt bar before submitting your prompt.

AI Credits

Each AI generation consumes credits from your monthly allowance. Your credit balance is shown at the top of the dashboard. If you run out, you can purchase one-time credit top-ups that never expire.

Prompt Library

Not sure what to ask? Open the Prompt Library from the AI chat input. Browse curated starter prompts organized by category (Copy, Design, Forms, CTAs, SEO, and more), or save your own custom prompts for reuse.

Tips for Better Results

  • Be specific — Include your industry, target audience, and the goal of the page.

  • Mention sections — List the sections you want (hero, features, pricing, FAQ, etc.).

  • Set the tone — Describe the style (professional, playful, minimal, bold).

  • Use Brand Kits — Select your brand kit before generating to get on-brand results from the start.
