[New Leadpages] Page Settings — SEO, Slugs & Password Protection

Last Updated

Accessing Page Settings

Open page settings by clicking the gear icon in the editor toolbar, or from the Dashboard by clicking the three-dot menu on any page and selecting Page Settings.

Custom Slug

The slug is the URL path for your page (e.g., new.leadpages.com/your-slug). By default, a slug is auto-generated. On paid plans, you can set a custom slug.

  • Slugs must be unique across your account.
  • Use lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only.
  • Keep slugs short and descriptive for better SEO (e.g., yoga-pricing).

SEO Settings

Optimize your page for search engines:

  • Meta Title — The title shown in search results and browser tabs (max 120 characters).
  • Meta Description — The description shown below your title in search results (max 320 characters).
  • Meta Keywords — Optional keywords for search engines (max 500 characters).
  • Canonical URL — If this page has duplicate content elsewhere, set the canonical URL to tell search engines which version is the original.
  • Search Engine Indexing — Toggle whether search engines can index your page. Available on paid plans only. Free plan pages are always set to noindex.

A SERP Preview shows exactly how your page will appear in Google search results.

Social Sharing (Open Graph)

Control how your page looks when shared on social media:

  • OG Title — The title shown in social shares (defaults to your meta title).
  • OG Description — The description for social shares.
  • OG Image — The image shown when sharing. Upload a 1200x630 image for best results.
  • Twitter Card Type — Choose between large image or summary card.

A Social Preview shows how your page will appear when shared on Facebook, Twitter/X, or LinkedIn.

Password Protection

Restrict access to your page by setting a password:

  1. Go to Page Settings.
  2. Enable Password Protection.
  3. Enter a password. Visitors must enter this password to view the page.

Password protection is useful for client previews, private events, or gated content.

Favicon

Upload a custom favicon (the small icon shown in browser tabs) for your page. Recommended size: 32x32 pixels, PNG or ICO format.

Form Collection

Toggle whether form submissions on this page are collected. When enabled, any form submissions are saved and visible in Dashboard → Submissions.
