Alternatives to Domain Masking

Last Updated

You might own a domain name (e.g. www.mywebsite.com) and want to set up a domain name redirect or masking, so your landing pages appear to be on your website. Domain masking does not work with Leadpages. The domain mask itself may work, but in many cases, this setup will cause issues with your pages. Problems can include your thank you pages not working, buttons or other links breaking, broken opt-in form functionality, etc.

NOTE: We will not be able to support pages that have been published in this way, or troubleshoot issues after you set up domain forwarding or masking for your landing pages.

To avoid issues with domain masking…

Instead of setting up domain masking or forwarding, we invite you to publish your landing pages to your own server. We have numerous publishing options for publishing to a domain you own below.

  1. If you own a domain, but don't pay for hosting at that domain, connecting your domain to Leadpages is a great publishing option. We host the pages but they'll be published to your domain.
  2. If you’re using a WordPress site, you can use our connector plugin to publish landing pages.
  3. Or, you can upload the HTML of your landing page(s) to your own server using our HTML export option.

Publishing your pages in one of these methods to your website is the best way to ensure you retain the full functionality of your landing pages.
