What’s New Getting Started Building Integrating Publishing

Choose your Leadpages Domain

Last Updated

A default Leadpages Domain will be created for you when you create a Leadpages account (i.e. accountname123.lpages.co). When you publish your first page or site, you will be asked to choose a custom Leadpages Domain for your account.

When you publish on our servers, the domain name you choose will appear at the beginning of its URLs, like so:

https://your-domain.lpages.co

Only one Leadpages site can be published to your Leadpages Domain. You can publish landing pages to your Leadpages Domain, even with a Leadpages site published to it.

If you already own a domain—don’t worry. You can connect your domain to your Leadpages account. There are many ways to publish landing pages directly to other domains, so you don’t necessarily need to use the Leadpages URL. Learn more →

However, you must choose a Leadpages Domain for your account, even if you don’t use it.

Tips on choosing

You can use practically any word or phrase as a Leadpages Domain. Usually, it’s best to go with your business name (or your name if you’re a solo business owner).

TIP: If you have sub-accounts, you’re in luck! Each one comes with its own unique Leadpages Domain.

There are a few requirements to keep in mind—your unique domain must:

  • begin with a letter
  • contain at least six characters

And like any URL, your domain can’t contain spaces, uppercase letters, or special characters. If someone is already using your chosen domain, you’ll be prompted to choose a different one.

Whatever domain you decide to use, keep in mind it will appear in the URL of any page you publish to our servers.

Other publishing options

Besides publishing pages to our servers, you can connect a domain you own to Leadpages, use WordPress, or your own hosting solution. To learn more about publishing pages, check out our overview here.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change my Leadpages Domain later?

Yes, though we don’t recommend changing it often, as updating your Leadpages Domain affects all pages published to that domain in your account. Read more about changing your Leadpages Domain here, or contact us to request a change.
